1. User Verification
CofoundAlly shows each member the identity verification requirement for their account. Depending on the method shown, a member may submit a document or a personal LinkedIn profile URL. For LinkedIn reviews, staff check the active Identity verification badge and match the profile name to the CofoundAlly account; workplace or education verification alone does not count. LinkedIn does not offer Identity verification to every member. CofoundAlly does not collect identity documents through the LinkedIn verification path.
- The verified badge states which identity review method was completed; it does not verify skills, qualifications, company performance, investment authority, safety, or conduct
- Email and other contact verification may be required to activate or protect an account
- Professional, company, or accreditation evidence may be reviewed where a role or workflow needs it
- Verification is not a guarantee of identity, qualifications, safety, solvency, or future conduct
2. Platform Security
We implement robust security measures to protect our users:
- Encryption: Information may be encrypted in transit and at rest where supported; no control removes every risk
- Secure Authentication: Account access controls, session management, rate limits, and available multi-factor authentication
- Document Safety: File-type and malware checks, access logs, and time-limited signed links for selected documents
- Monitoring and Response: Security signals, human review, incident response, and ongoing risk reduction
3. Safe Communication
Guidelines for safe communication on our platform:
- Keep early communications in the Platform where possible and move sensitive discussions only after verifying the other party
- Never share passwords, payment credentials, identity documents, deposits, cryptocurrency, or unnecessary sensitive information in a message
- Report suspicious behavior, requests, links, attachments, or recruitment practices immediately
- Treat video, calendar, and external meeting links as third-party or user-controlled unless the Platform clearly identifies otherwise
4. Fraud Prevention
We actively work to prevent fraud through:
- Risk Signals: Automated and human review of suspicious activity, abuse, fraud, or account compromise signals
- Payment Protection: Payment processing through third-party providers; CofoundAlly does not guarantee a transaction or refund
- Account Reviews: Additional verification, access limits, or review when risk or legal requirements call for it
- User Reports: Reports may be deduplicated, investigated, resolved, dismissed, or escalated; no response time or outcome is guaranteed
5. Privacy Protection
Your privacy is paramount:
- Controlled Information Sharing: Profile, application, workspace, and talent-discovery visibility follows your choices and the relevant workflow
- Data Protection: Technical, organizational, and contractual safeguards are applied according to the nature and risk of the information
- Access Controls: Workspace, application, document, and support access is limited and may be logged
- Privacy Choices: Use account, notification, and cookie controls and contact support for data requests
6. Reporting Issues
How to report safety concerns:
- Use the in-platform reporting system for a specific listing, account, message, link, or incident where available
- Contact support@cofoundally.com for urgent safety, security, privacy, or abuse concerns
- Provide relevant details and evidence without sharing unnecessary personal information
- For an immediate threat, contact local emergency services; Platform review is not emergency response
7. Jobs and Recruitment Safety
Use additional care when applying for or posting employment opportunities:
- Candidates are never charged to apply through CofoundAlly
- Never send deposits, investment payments, cryptocurrency, passwords, or identity credentials to an employer
- Verify the company domain and recruiter identity before sharing sensitive information
- Use the job reporting tools for scams, impersonation, discrimination, misleading pay, expired vacancies, or unsafe links
- External applications leave CofoundAlly and cannot receive CofoundAlly status tracking
8. Job and Employer Checks
Before applying, interviewing, posting, or accepting an offer:
- Check the employer's company name, domain, location, vacancy details, and recruiter identity using an independent source
- Be cautious of urgent offers, unusually high pay, requests to buy equipment, requests to pay for training, or requests to move immediately to an unverified channel
- Never send money, cryptocurrency, passwords, one-time codes, or identity documents to secure a job
- Report impersonation, misleading compensation, discrimination, expired jobs, unsafe links, or suspicious interview requests
9. Résumés, Applications, and Documents
Protect the information in your recruitment and legal documents:
- Upload only materials you have permission to share and remove unnecessary sensitive details
- Review application recipients, employer workspace members, and document links before submitting
- Treat signed downloads and previews as time-limited access, not permanent storage
- Keep your own secure backups of résumés, signed offers, contracts, filings, and receipts
10. AI and Automated Assistance
AI features can help with drafting, matching, summaries, and workflows but can be wrong or biased:
- Review AI output before sending, filing, hiring, or making a financial or legal decision
- Do not submit protected characteristics, health information, passwords, or confidential secrets unless authorized and necessary
- Employers must provide human review and must not use AI as the sole basis for an employment decision
- Report unsafe, discriminatory, inaccurate, or privacy-sensitive AI output
11. Meetings and External Services
Calendar, video, payment, employer-site, and other integrations may be operated by third parties:
- Verify the domain and recipient before opening a meeting, scheduling, payment, or application link
- Use privacy settings and avoid recording or sharing a meeting without appropriate consent
- Review third-party terms and privacy notices before submitting information
- Remember that CofoundAlly cannot control an external service or track an external application outcome
12. Report Review and Enforcement
We may deduplicate reports, request more information, limit visibility, pause a job, restrict a feature, preserve evidence, suspend an account, or refer serious matters to appropriate authorities. A report is not a finding and does not guarantee a particular timeline, confidentiality outcome, or remedy. Do not retaliate against a reporter or participant in a review.
13. Limits and Emergency Help
Safety controls reduce risk but cannot prevent every scam, breach, harmful interaction, inaccurate listing, or third-party incident. CofoundAlly is not an emergency service, law-enforcement agency, insurer, employer, recruiter, or professional adviser unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise. For imminent danger, contact local emergency services.
