These guidelines apply across the CofoundAlly platform. They help maintain a professional, respectful, safe, and productive environment for founders, cofounders, investors, employers, candidates, hiring teams, and visitors.
Investor directory responsibility
Some investor search results are sourced from lawful public information and have not been claimed by the investor. Read the origin and status labels carefully; do not describe a sourced record as an active CofoundAlly member, verified investor, or willing recipient. Public business contact details, when available, are limited to eligible paid founders through CofoundAlly’s controlled reveal flow. Use public links and the CofoundAlly request flow only for a specific, relevant, professional introduction, and stop contacting a recipient who asks not to be contacted.
Do not scrape, export, resell, or build bulk email sequences from the directory.
Do not ask CofoundAlly staff for hidden emails or phone numbers, or attempt to identify protected contact data.
Write a truthful, personalized message and respect a decline, pause, suppression, or opt-out.
Report inaccurate, duplicate, outdated, or unwanted records with enough context to investigate.
Investors should claim or request removal of records that represent them and keep claimed settings current.

Never charge candidates or request deposits, purchases, investments, or cryptocurrency
Do not discriminate or ask screening questions about protected characteristics
Use candidate data only for authorized recruitment and keep it confidential
Keep application statuses current and communicate respectfully
Do not use AI to make final or automatic employment decisions
9. Account, Identity, and Authority

Keep names, contact details, company details, verification information, roles, and permissions accurate and current
Do not impersonate a person, employer, recruiter, candidate, adviser, or public institution
Do not upload another person's identity document, résumé, work sample, or personal information without permission
Protect passwords, recovery methods, invitations, signed links, and API or integration credentials
10. Candidate and Application Privacy
Treat job applicants and their materials with care:
Use application, résumé, interview, and screening information only for the vacancy or legitimate recruitment administration
Keep candidate information visible only to authorized hiring-team members and remove access when it is no longer needed
Do not download, copy, export, sell, scrape, or share candidate data for unrelated purposes
Do not ask candidates for unnecessary sensitive data, passwords, deposits, cryptocurrency, or purchases
Keep statuses, interview details, compensation, location, and closing dates accurate and communicate material changes
11. Fair Hiring and AI Assistance
Use matching, recommendations, and document assistance responsibly:
Review AI output for accuracy, relevance, accessibility, bias, and missing context before acting on it
Do not use AI as the sole basis for rejecting, advancing, interviewing, offering, or hiring a candidate
Do not use protected characteristics, photographs, health information, or proxies for discriminatory screening
Provide meaningful human review and reasonable accommodation where required by law
Report an AI output that appears unsafe, discriminatory, inaccurate, or unrelated to the task
12. Documents, Links, and Integrations

Upload only files and materials you have the right and authority to share
Review document recipients before sending and do not rely on a signed link as permanent storage
Scan or validate files before opening them and report suspicious attachments or links
Review the privacy and security terms of Calendly, employer sites, payment providers, and other integrations
13. Reports, Moderation, and Appeals
Help keep moderation accurate and fair:
Use the in-product report control for a specific listing, account, message, link, or recruitment practice when available
Include enough context to investigate without exposing unnecessary personal information
Do not submit duplicate, retaliatory, knowingly false, or abusive reports
Do not threaten, contact, or retaliate against a reporter or a person involved in a review
Understand that a report may be rate-limited, deduplicated, investigated, resolved, dismissed, or escalated and does not guarantee a particular outcome
14. Legal and Business Tools
Use templates and workflows responsibly:
Treat generated documents, checklists, assessments, and summaries as drafts requiring review
Confirm jurisdiction, names, dates, ownership, signatures, filing requirements, taxes, and deadlines before relying on a document
Do not describe a Platform template as legal, tax, investment, or employment advice unless a separate qualified professional engagement says so
Keep your own secure copies of signed documents, filings, receipts, and important records
15. Enforcement
We may warn, label, limit visibility, restrict messaging or workspace access, pause a listing, remove content, suspend features, suspend or close an account, preserve evidence, or refer conduct to authorities when we believe these Guidelines or applicable law may have been violated. Enforcement decisions may consider severity, repetition, risk, evidence, and legal obligations.
