Effective Date: August 10, 2026
CofoundAlly Advisors Ltd ("CofoundAlly," "we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy of our users, including founders, cofounders, investors, employers, talent candidates, hiring-team members, and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information across the CofoundAlly platform, our legal and business tools, and related websites and services.
CofoundAlly may maintain a founder-facing investor directory using records imported by authorized administrators from lawful public sources and records created by investors on the Platform. A sourced record is not a CofoundAlly account and does not mean that the person or firm is active, available, verified, or interested in receiving fundraising requests. Sourced records contain limited public profile information and provenance. Publicly published business contact details are kept in protected service storage and may be revealed only through the paid founder contact-reveal flow after responsible-contact acknowledgement; private or non-public contact data is not included.
Investors can claim, correct, pause, hide, or request removal of a listing. We may send one service invitation to claim a sourced record when an administrator has recorded an eligible verified business email and permission to invite. The invitation does not include a founder's private information, pitch deck, fundraising copy, or a bulk outreach sequence. Investors may opt out permanently through the invitation or by contacting support. Founders may report inaccurate, duplicate, outdated, or unwanted records, and we may suppress records while a report is reviewed.

You can manage whether your Talent profile is discoverable, which employers may receive an application, whether optional employer or calendar integrations are connected, and which notification or marketing preferences you receive. A job application or report may still be retained or shared when necessary to provide the requested service, protect people, comply with law, or defend a claim.
Depending on the feature and jurisdiction, we process information to perform a contract or take steps at your request, comply with a legal obligation, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or rely on your consent. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it for the future; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing or processing that has another legal basis.

If you use the Platform from outside Nigeria, your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Nigeria or other countries where our servers or service providers are located. These countries may have different data protection laws than your home country.
Where required, we use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, adequacy decisions, consent, or another mechanism recognized by applicable law. Using a feature that requires an international transfer may be necessary to provide that feature.

Our legal basis for processing your data includes:
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), grants you certain rights, subject to exceptions, including:
When you use CofoundAlly legal, business, incorporation, governance, intellectual-property, compliance, contract, or document-preparation tools, we may process additional information to provide the requested workflow. The availability of a tool does not by itself create a professional engagement or guarantee that a filing or document is accepted.
When providing legal services through the configured offering, we adhere to the following practices:
Retention depends on the matter, service, legal obligation, active engagement, dispute, and your instructions. We may retain documents and records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain audit and billing records, meet professional or legal obligations, resolve disputes, or defend claims. When a matter closes, we may return, export, delete, redact, or archive information according to the applicable service terms and law.
When you use CofoundAlly Jobs, we process your Talent profile, résumé, screening answers, portfolio links, application snapshot, status history, interview details, offer records, and communications to provide recruitment services. Talent profiles and résumés are private by default, subject to the visibility and application choices you make.
Only the applicant and authorized members of the hiring company's workspace may access an application or its résumé. Employers may use that data only for the vacancy and legitimate recruitment administration, must maintain appropriate access controls, and are responsible for their own legal obligations as an employer or data controller.
Talent discovery is private by default. If you opt in and the relevant review or approval is completed, approved employers may see a limited profile card for recruitment purposes. You may revoke discoverability; revocation removes the profile from the directory going forward but does not undo prior lawful access or copies.
We process interview invitations, manual or calendar scheduling, booking confirmations, reminders, pipeline changes, recruiter ownership, messages, workflow events, and offer records to deliver hiring workflows. A draft offer or internal employer note is not necessarily visible to a candidate. Third-party calendars and employer sites process information under their own notices.
Uploaded résumés and other files may be scanned for malware, validated, previewed, converted, and delivered through time-limited signed links. Safe-redirect checks and link previews reduce known risks but do not guarantee the safety or privacy practices of an external destination.
Application documents and snapshots are scheduled for deletion or redaction 18 months after a job closes unless you delete them sooner, an employer or legal hold requires continued retention, or another lawful purpose applies. Assistive AI outputs are logged with model and version information; protected characteristics and photographs are excluded from matching inputs. AI output may be inaccurate and is not the sole basis for an employment decision.
We may use search, recommendation, matching, drafting, summarization, document, and workflow models to generate suggestions or outputs from information you provide, Platform activity, job requirements, and limited operational metadata. We seek to exclude protected characteristics and photographs from job-matching inputs, but no automated system is perfect.
AI features are assistive and may be incomplete, biased, stale, or wrong. Employers must independently assess candidates and must not rely on AI as the sole basis for a hiring or employment decision. Where required by law, you may request information about relevant automated processing or human review by contacting support@cofoundally.com.
Authorized service providers may process prompts, documents, outputs, feedback, model names, version data, and safety or quality logs to provide and protect the feature. We retain these records only as reasonably needed for the feature, security, quality, legal obligations, and dispute resolution.
Legal and business workflows may process company identifiers, ownership and director details, filings, contracts, signatures, intellectual-property information, compliance records, matter notes, uploads, generated drafts, and billing or support records. Only submit information you are authorized to provide.
We apply access and security controls appropriate to the service, but using a Platform template or document tool does not by itself create attorney-client privilege, legal representation, tax advice, or another professional relationship. A separate engagement may establish additional duties and retention terms.
We may store, scan, convert, preview, transmit, export, archive, redact, or delete documents and metadata as needed to operate the requested workflow, comply with law, maintain audit and billing records, or resolve disputes. You should keep your own copies of important documents and filings.
CofoundAlly generally determines the purposes and means of processing for Platform accounts and services. An employer or hiring organization may independently determine the purposes and means of processing candidate data in its workspace and may be a separate controller. Service providers process information on our instructions or under their own notices when you use an external service.
To access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or ask about your information, contact support@cofoundally.com. We may request information to verify your identity and authority, and we may limit a request where permitted or required by law, another person's rights, security, legal privilege, or a legal hold.
We welcome the opportunity to resolve privacy concerns directly. Depending on where you live, you may also complain to the NDPC, an EU/UK/Swiss supervisory authority, the California Privacy Protection Agency, or another competent data-protection authority.
By using the CofoundAlly Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. Thank you for trusting us with your personal information.
